Oliver is a London-based cameraman who grew up in Brussels and Barcelona before returning to his native UK to pursue a career in the film industry. He is a graduate of the University of Essex where he attained a BA Hons degree in Latin American Studies, travelling extensively through Mexico and Central America, where he photographed ancient Mesoamerican ruins and studied the art of the great Mexican muralists. A native French and Spanish speaker, with a working knowledge of Catalan, Portuguese and Italian, Oliver has always been fascinated by other cultures, putting his languages to great use on numerous assignments abroad.

Starting out as a production runner, Oliver soon chose to concentrate on the camera department. After spells helping out on the camera floor at Panavision and working as an in-house camera assistant, he became a freelance Clapper Loader and later Focus Puller, working on Commercials, Music Videos, Drama and Feature Films. With the advent of HD, Oliver embraced new digital formats and began working as a Lighting Cameraman/DoP.

Nowadays, Oliver is as happy shooting Commercials as Music Videos but is always on the lookout for good drama and documentary scripts as he likes nothing better than immersing himself in the storytelling process with a team of equally committed film-makers.
